Price drop for Alloy sailing yacht Georgia

48.49m sailing yacht Georgia has just undergone a price reduction of $3,000,000 and is currently available for $12,950,000.

Created as the ultimate family world cruiser, Georgia is a premier charter vessel and was launched by Alloy Yachts in New Zealand in 2000. Designed by Paolo Scanu and Dalrymple-Smith, Johnson, she won Showboats Awards in the same year as the most innovative sailing yacht, as well as the best sailing yacht over 38 metres.

The yacht offers very flexible accommodation in a cherry wood interior for up to 12 guests in six cabins, including a full-beam master suite. All the cabins have state-of-the-art audio/visual systems and ensuite bathroom facilities. Guests are served by up to 8 crew members.

On the technical side, performance under sail comes from a powerful carbon-fibre rig by Southern Spars with a fully battened in-boom furling mainsail, lightweight carbon spars and Reckman hydraulic furlers with custom carbon-fibre foils. Under power, a single 1,000hp Caterpillar diesel engine provides a cruising speed of 10 knots, topping out at 15 knots.
